Jill White is the founder of the Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI), one of the five nationally recognized certifying agencies for lifeguards, swim instructors and pool operators in the United States. She has been named as a Power 25 honoree by Aquatics International magazine multiple times, which recognizes the most influential people in the aquatics industry. In 2014 Jill was inducted into the World Waterpark Association Hall of Fame.
Committed to saving lives and eliminating drowning, Jill has been active at the national and international level developing training programs, collaborating in drowning prevention and standards development initiatives, and has authored several books.
Well informed and well trained supervisors are the key to a high performing lifeguard staff and the recently released Model Aquatic Health Code requires specific training in this area. This webinar will explore the rationale behind the requirement, provide options for meeting the minimum standard, and create a roadmap for continuing education that will improve quality at any aquatic facility from small seasonal community pools to large year-round venues.
