Based on three decades of resilience theory and research, we present a programme of mental fortitude training for persons wishing to develop resilience for sustained success. The presentation will be split into three main sections. The first section will briefly describe what resilience is (and isn’t). The second section will outline a mental fortitude training programme using sport-related examples to illustrate important features. The final section will provide some practical guidance for those implementing or undertaking the training.
Participants in the webinar will learn: • To describe what resilience is (and isn’t). • To outline an evidence-based approach to the development of resilience for sustained success. • To provide practical guidance for those implementing or undertaking this training.
