This special issue of the Sociology of Sport Journal (SSJ) debates issues of identity and inequality in sport. Each article presents an issue, followed by a response and rebuttal, allowing for argument and debate on the topic. Topics covered include class, social theory and sport; cultural identity and the politics of sport; and identity, subjectivity, and misrecognition.
SSJ aims to stimulate and communicate research, critical thought, and theory development on issues pertaining to sociology and sport.
