The Journal of Clinical Sport Psychology (JCSP) promotes the understanding and advancement of the integration of clinical, counseling, and sport psychology. JCSP strives to stimulate thought, promote empirical investigation, and disseminate scientifically informed knowledge related to the comprehensive psychological care and overall well-being of athletes, coaches, and sport organizations.
The journal is for specialists who are engaged in a variety of contexts, including private, public, and educational settings. JCSP addresses topics relating to psychological health and well-being of athletes and coaches, psychological aspects of athletic performance, and issues and concerns that connect physical and psychological functioning.
JCSP has published special issues on culturally informed sport psychology and psychophysiology and neuroscience in sport, as well as eating disorders in college athletics. Future issues will continue to provide case studies, field studies, empirical research, and evaluation research examining both the scientific and applied concerns in working with athletes, coaches, and organizations.
JCSP is also published in a digital format, providing online subscribers with the same authoritative content of the print edition but with additional advantages, including the ability to search entire issues in seconds and access to back issues. The content of the online version of JCSP is available weeks before the print version arrives by mail, and subscribers can receive the table of contents of each issue by e-mail when a new issue has been published.
