ProFaNE (Prevention of Falls Network Europe) is a working group of health care practitioners, researchers, and public health specialists dedicated to the prevention of falls and improvement of postural stability amongst elderly people in Europe and beyond. It comprises four work packages: taxonomy and classification; clinical assessment and management; assessment of balance function; and psychological aspects of falling.
The aim is to bring together workers from around Europe to focus on a series of tasks required to develop programmes aimed at reducing the incidence of falls and fractures amongst elderly people.
