Sydney West Area Health Service (SWAHS) provides public health services to the people of western Sydney, Australia. These services include 12 hospitals, 8 emergency departments, 21 community health centres, and many outpatient and outreach services. The SWAHS Centre for Population Health comprises Health Promotion and Public Health teams. The Health Promotion team is responsible for the activities within SWAHS such as SWAHS HEALTHFirst (healthy people, places, and communities), Population Health strategic directions in Sydney West, SWAHS Healthy Weight Strategy including Nutrition & Physical Activity, and SWAHS Fall Injury Prevention Action Plan.
