Human Kinetics and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) have joined together to provide coaches and players with book and video resources that will prepare them for any game situation. Whether you need help with fielding skills and drills, hitting techniques, or pitching mechanics, Human Kinetics in partnership with the ABCA is sure to have the resource you need.
The ABCA is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. It has over 6,200 members who represent all 50 states and 23 countries. Association membership includes seven divisions: Youth, High School, Junior College, NAIA, and NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. The association is involved in numerous programs that promote the integrity of the profession and the development of the game of baseball.
The ABCA strives for sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity to the highest degree. At the first meeting in 1945, the coaches in attendance stated that coaching ethics were the most important aspect of the job. That long and proud tradition of the association has lasted for over 60 years. The ABCA has always strived to make the great profession of coaching better and to create the best situation possible for coaches, student-athletes, and all baseball fans. That commitment certainly continues today. Each January, the ABCA hosts the largest baseball convention in the world. Approximately 4,000 coaches attend the event, which is held at various locations around the United States. It is four days of nonstop baseball. Human Kinetics actively participates in this show on a yearly basis by promoting our baseball and conditioning titles. Many of the baseball titles produced by Human Kinetics are endorsed, authored, or edited by the ABCA, and an even larger percentage of titles are written by ABCA members. Human Kinetics looks forward to continuing our partnership with the American Baseball Coaches Association to help educate coaches, teach players, and advance the entire game of baseball.
