Since 1988, Human Kinetics (HK) Australia has been serving the physical activity community in Australia by providing a variety of information products. That role has evolved from the dissemination of information to its actual creation. In 1998, HK Australia published its first textbook for the Queensland PE curriculum. As part of Human Kinetics worldwide, there is also a commitment to bring appropriate resources to professional and academic associations, national sporting organizations, state sporting groups, and any other interested individuals.
HK Australia is based in Adelaide and is located in a restored 19th century bluestone church building in the Mitcham area. From there the staff acquires, markets, sells, and distributes all Human Kinetics products and services.
