Bob McAtee, author of Facilitated Stretching, operates a non-profit business, New Vue Productions, in addition to his successful massage businesses.
Bob recently sent a note to inform colleagues about a new initiative to help bring clean water to Haitian people, and we thought some of Human Kinetics’ friends might want to know about it and choose to get involved.
Here is more about the effort, in Bob’s words:
Dear Family, Friends, and Business Associates,
Many of you know that, in addition to our for-profit business activities (Pro-Active Massage Therapy and McRub, Inc.), Trina and I operate New Vue Productions, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We’re writing to let you know that New Vue has entered the Haiti challenge with our “Nouveau Haiti” project.
Our initial focus is to execute deployment of desperately needed fresh water in Haiti by providing logistic and site support for water filtration equipment already on the ground there. This equipment represents the capacity to process over 23,000 gallons of fresh drinking water per day. Our project manager, a seasoned resident of Haiti, has been engaged in various Haitian project operations since 1992.

As of today, 1/22/10, many of our contacts have received little or no support outside of Port-Au-Prince. The structure of the “Nouveau Haiti” project is designed to deliver on-the-ground action within days of funding due to our direct contact with key local representatives.
Please forward this e-mail to anyone you know that might help.
Thank you for your support - on behalf of the Haitian families we serve.
