The International Coalition for Aging and Physical Activity (ICAPA) is an international not-for-profit group of researchers and practitioners that promotes the study of active aging; the enhanced delivery of services to older adults; and the collection, dissemination, and discussion of information to help professionals further their work.

If your organization focuses on the study of aging or delivers programs and services to older adults, please consider joining ICAPA. It’s free; there are no dues, but member organizations must be willing to participate in the Active Aging Community Center because the Coalition works through the AACC to accomplish its goals.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s kinesiology area is internationally recognized for the study of human movement. Current research examines human movement in many contexts and through many lenses across the lifespan.

The community health area has been promoting health through teaching, research, and service activities locally, nationally, and internationally since 1957. Multidisciplinary faculty members teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct high-level research in health policy, epidemiology, health education, health behavior, rehabilitation, and disability studies.
