Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC) envisions a nation inspired to be active. It partners with national sport organisations, national recreation organisations, regional sports trusts, and many other organisations that have the capability to get people and programmes moving in their areas. SPARC also provides specialist services and programmes for critical areas across the sector, including CoachCorp, Capability and Sport Development, and facilities for elite athletes and coaches. In addition, SPARC represents the sector to government in policy formation and provides a research base for the sector.
