
The Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (CCAA) is a leading not-for-profit national research and education centre, located within the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. The CCAA promotes physical activity and the well-being of older adults through basic and applied research, educational resources, and community-based programs. The CCAA offers community-based physical activity classes for seniors. The physical activity class model is based on research conducted at the CCAA and includes cardiovascular, strength, balance, and flexibility training. In addition, more than 1,000 people from across Canada are trained in CCAA leadership training courses each year.
