1. Make sure that you have administrative privileges on your computer.
2. Check in the Add/Remove Programs control panel. If there is a listing for MAPS (most likely not), remove it.
3. Make sure Java 5 (J2SE runtime environment 5) is not installed, if it is remove it.
4. Copy javaw.exe into the root of the C: drive. With a default install if the 1.4.x JRE this will be in C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.x\bin (replace the ’x’ with the latest version of 1.4 installed.)
5. Run the MAPS installer.
