The Fitness Challenge software includes seven main features:
Student’s Information This includes personal and demographic information about the student.
Test Selection Guide The computer will create a test session of test items and allow the instructor the flexibility to narrow down the test session to a personal or class level.
Student’s Test Scores Before the test is administered, the instructor can enter a personal goal for the student. After the test is completed, the personal goal test results can be added as well.
Instructor’s Evaluation Report The reports the software will create include the student’s scores and the personal goal set by the instructor. It may also include the specific and general standards based on disabilities, age, and gender of the student.
Student’s Improvement Report For the student or parent, a report of the current test scores and the personal goal or a report of past scores can be printed to show improvement over time.
Tech Manual The Tech Manual will be available only in the software. This manual will include validation information for each of the 27 test items.
Import and Export The instructor can share the student’s information with other programs such as Fitness Challenge and Fitnessgram using the export and import feature. In the future, Human Kinetics might have a global database, and this feature will allow the instructor to send demographic and test score data back to Human Kinetics to be included in the global database. The database might then be available through a Web site for reference by the instructor.
