Organizations and groups should attempt to relay messages about physical activity to older adults by using existing health networks to share information and advice about physical activity. Although children and adolescents respond and adapt to exercise and physical activity in much the same way that adults do, physiological differences between children and adults do exist and must be considered. To achieve optimal results during exercise evaluations of children, the proper testing environment is critical. Pictures of children performing various aspects of the exercise test are also useful in helping younger children to understand what is expected and to feel more at ease.
