Sports and entertainment conglomerate Lagardere Unlimited has purchased Crown Sports Management, a move that helps accelerate the company’s rapid growth in the golf business. The purchase, which brings 24 new golfers under Lagardere representation, expands the company’s already substantial sports portfolio, while also cementing its position as the outright leader in the golf business worldwide. The move is strongly supported by Arnaud Lagardere, managing and general partner of the agency’s holding company.
Among the golfers coming to Lagardere with Crown Sports are 2013 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Jordan Spieth, six-time PGA Tour winner Brandt Snedeker, and 2012 Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III. Lagardere already represented Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley, and Nick Watney. Total, Lagardere now represents 43 PGA Tour golfers, significantly more than any other agency in the business. Seven of its clients have won Major championships on the Tour.
