The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants have one of the fiercest rivalries in pro sports, but there’s one thing both teams can agree on: using Citrix GoToMeeting with HD Faces as a way to give fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Earlier in the season, Citrix launched a promotion with AM570 Fox Sports radio station in Los Angeles, which holds broadcast rights to Dodgers games. Fans have the opportunity to tell the team why they’re worthy of a videoconference, face-to-face meeting with a Dodger legend, with a winner picked each month during the season. The promotion has been so successful that the Giants are rolling out a similar contest on the platform.
Even though both teams are reaping the benefits of Citrix GoToMeeting, they still would argue about which has produced better “legends” to videoconference with fans. The Dodgers have used 10-time All-Star Steve Garvey, while the Giants are using six-time Gold Glove winner J.T. Snow in their first promotion activation.
