Grants available for medical management of older patients with HIV/AIDS

The National Institute on Aging (NIA), the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Center for Mental Health Research on AIDS of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) encourage research grant applications that address clinical and translational medical issues in the diagnosis and/or management of HIV infection and its consequences in older persons.

Organizations that are eligible to apply include public- or state-controlled and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits, governments, and other entities.

Budgets for direct costs of up to $500,000 per year and a project duration of up to five years may be requested for a maximum of $2,500,000 direct costs over a five-year project period.
