Quick Reference Equations

  • Equations that define mechanical terms or describe relationships between mechanical parameters are presented throughout the textbook. To make it easier for the reader to find any equation, all of the main equations are presented in one place--in the inside cover of the book. It has come to our attention that some copies of the textbook omit these Quick Reference Equations, so a PDF of that material is available here for student use.

E-Book

The e-book version of this text offers many advantages:

  • Lower price than print version
  • Highlighting, bookmarking, and note-taking capabilities
  • Immediate access when purchased from the Human Kinetics website

Access to e-books may also be purchased through some campus bookstores. If you have purchased a key code to unlock access, sign in to the ancillary site and click on "Enter Key Code" in the left column.
