Human Kinetics is pleased to announce its new publication of the established Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport (JLAS), which endeavors to publish submissions of the highest scholarly quality and scientific rigor of legal aspects of sport, recreation, and related fields that can inform policy, advance the body of knowledge, and influence decision-making. JLAS is strongly committed to the publication of theoretical and applied research on law and policy issues from any tradition of scholarship. Original research studies employing quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, or doctrinal law review approaches to the analyses of legal issues are welcome for consideration. JLAS will also publish case notes addressing important, current, and relevant legal cases that have policy implications to sport, recreation or related fields. JLAS will seek case studies that identify and analyze pedagogical practices of relevance to graduate or undergraduate legal aspects classes. Submissions of reviews of recently published books or chapters dealing with the legal aspects of sport and recreation will be considered for publication in the journal. Last, the Editor and Associate Editor will solicit commentaries from noted persons who are directly involved with an important legal or policy issue of relevance to sport or recreation.
