Physical Activity for All
Physical Activity for All
They have found that when good physical educators modify their curriculum to include all students, not only do the students with disabilities benefit, but students without disabilities do as well. Sport, to include disability sport, can be taught to students with and without disabilities in your physical education classes. Wheelchair Sport provides coaches, teachers, physical trainers, sport scientists, rehabilitation practitioners, and wheelchair users the information to do just that.

Basketball passing skills for students with or without disabilities
Basketball passing skills for students with or without disabilities
This section will help you establish your teaching emphasis as you read the basic skills necessary to play wheelchair basketball. For students with higher function, you may also use a fourth pass called the baseball pass. This pass uses the same mechanics as those used in the chest pass, with the following emphasis: the student passes the ball so that the bounce hits a spot on the floor halfway between the student and another student and tries to land the ball in the other student’s lap.
All students can be included in physical activity
All students can be included in physical activity
The object of the game is for the student to throw three balls at each of the target cones so that the balls roll to a stop creating a block, or fort, around the cone. A student without a disability is seated on a chair next to the student using the ramp and positioned to throw at the jack ball. The student using the ramp has two balls, and the student seated in the chair has one.
