United States Return Policy

Individual/Personal Returns

  • If you’re not completely satisfied with your prepaid purchase, return it within 30 days of the date of receipt of your shipment.
  • Human Kinetics will refund full credit (excluding shipping/handling) if your invoice information is supplied. Credit will then be applied to the appropriate credit card or a check can be issued. An account credit will be issued for items purchased on open account.
  • All return shipments must be sent via UPS to 1607 North Market St., Champaign, IL 61820-2200.
  • We do not accept returns on online products, e-books, or opened software, videos, CD/DVD-ROMs, and DVDs.

Bookstore/Tradebook Returns (Overstock)

  • Permission is not necessary, but please include a copy of your invoice with your returns.
  • Ship returns to: 1607 N. Market St., Champaign, IL 61820-2200.
  • Eligibility period is not before 3 months or after 12 months from the date of invoice.
  • Human Kinetics will refund full credit (excluding shipping/handling) if invoice information is supplied. If invoice information is not supplied, credit will be issued according to the current Human Kinetics discount schedule and policy. If returned books are not in resalable condition, credit will not be given. Credit balances may only be applied to future purchases. Refunds will be issued for accounts that have been inactive for at least one year.
  • Customer received damaged books must be reported and submitted within 2 weeks of receipt of your shipment. The nature of the damage/defect must be noted on the return packing slip.

Canada International Office Return Policy

Individual/Personal Returns

  • Eligibility period is 30 days after receipt of your shipment.
  • Will refund full credit (excluding shipping/handling) if invoice information is supplied. Credit will then be applied to appropriate credit card or cheque can be issued.
  • All return shipments must be sent to 475 Devonshire Road, Unit #100, Windsor, ON N8Y 2L5.
  • We do not accept returns on online products, e-books, or opened software, videos, CD/DVD-ROMs, and DVDs.

Bookstore/Tradebook Returns (Overstock)

UK and Europe International Office Return Policy

Individual/Personal Returns

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please return the goods and paperwork within 30 days of receipt to Human Kinetics Europe, 107 Bradford Road, Stanningley, Leeds, LS28 6AT, United Kingdom.
  • Goods that are returned in a resalable condition will be subject to a full refund of the purchase price, excluding postage and packaging costs.
  • We do not accept returns on online products, e-books, or opened software, videos, CD/DVD-ROMs, and DVDs.
  • If you receive damaged goods, please return them with the relevant paperwork within 14 days.

Bookstore / Trade Returns

No official authorization is necessary; however, returns must meet the following criteria:

  • Books should have been supplied by Human Kinetics Europe.
  • A copy of the invoice or invoice numbers should be submitted. Full credit (excluding postage) will be given for books returned with an invoice number; otherwise credit will be given at 25% of the list price.
  • Returns cannot be accepted before three months or after twelve months from the original invoice date.
  • The books should be in a resalable condition; those deemed as shop soiled or damaged will not be issued with a credit.
  • Books must be packed with sufficient packaging to ensure no damaged is caused on the return to Human Kinetics Europe.
  • Credit balances may be used against future purchases only. However refunds will be issued for accounts that have been inactive for at least one year.
  • Goods that have been received damaged or short shipped or incorrectly, from Human Kinetics Europe must be reported within 14 days of receipt of delivery and the nature of the problem noted in correspondence included with the return.
  • If returned products are not in resalable condition, credit will not be given. In such circumstances, customers will be contacted by Human Kinetics Europe and advised of the damaged items. The customer will have a one-month period to arrange for the collection of such damaged items or for the goods to be returned at the customer’s expense.
  • Multimedia must be unopened, otherwise credit will not be given.

New Zealand International Office Return Policy

Individual/Personal Returns

  • If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us for approval to return the goods within 30 days of receipt. Approval will be given to return the goods (with a copy of the invoice) to Human Kinetics, C/- Hart Sport, 10A Piermark Drive, Albany, North Shore, 0632.
  • Goods that are returned in a resalable condition will be subject to a full refund of the purchase price, excluding postage and packaging costs.

  • If you receive damaged goods, please contact us for approval to return them. This must be done within 14 days.
