After completing your online course and passing the test, you will submit a CEU request form to Michigan State University. MSU will then forward your information to the Michigan Department of Education. You will receive CEU documentation from MSU via e-mail within six to eight weeks of receipt of the form. To receive CEUs from the Department of Education, you will need to visit their Web site.
In awarding CEUs, MSU follows CEU guidelines developed by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Given that each state board has different requirements for teacher licensure, certification, and CEU courses, we encourage you to check with your district or state Department of Education to ensure CEUs from MSU and the Michigan State Board of Education are accepted by your organization.

You have two options for completing the course test:
- You can access the test at any time from within the course; just click the Course Test tab from the left-hand navigation menu. Many students find it beneficial to complete the test questions that correspond with the course unit that they just completed while the information is fresh in their minds. Just as you work your way through the course in segments, you complete the test in segments. If using this method, you just need to be sure to complete all of the questions in a given unit and click Submit to ensure your answers have been saved. After completing the final unit’s test questions, click Submit Test and you’ll receive immediate results.
4. Submit your CEU request form to Michigan State University.
Remember, you must pass the test (80 percent or better is considered passing) and meet the required number of seat hours for your course in order to attain MSU CEUs. You will be provided a link on your test feedback screen that takes you to a CEU request form. The final step in completing this form is to check the electronic signature box required by MSU and the Michigan State Board of Education. Once you have completed the form, you are ready to forward it electronically to MSU. We also recommend that you make a copy of the signed form for your personal records. You will receive documentation of CEUs earned from MSU within six to eight weeks of receipt of the form.
