Sue Scott is a personal trainer, writer, educator, and consultant specializing in older or frail adults and Parkinson’s disease. In 2005, Sue developed ABLE Bodies, a comprehensive, multimodal balance training program for older adults. In 2008, Sue wrote ABLE Bodies Balance Training, which features more than 100 activities to improve balance in older adults.

In 2008, Sue wrote ABLE Bodies Balance Training, which features more than 100 activities to improve balance in older adults. She has taught at Portland State University and works in research at Oregon Health and Science University to develop effective exercise programs for older adults. This year, she is writing a book on Parkinson’s-specific agility training with Fay Horak, PhD, PT, and Laurie King, PhD, PT. Sue has presented for International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), IDEA World, American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM), International Association for Services and Housing for the Ageing (IAHSA), and American Public Health Association (APHA). She is an ACSM-certified Health & Fitness Specialist, an IDEA Master Trainer, and a Human Kinetics author.
