Signs You May Have Sleep Apnea

More than 18 million Americans face serious health risks from sleep apnea, and many cases may be undiagnosed. Besides disrupted sleep, a link has been found between undiagnosed sleep apnea and high blood pressure, stroke, memory problems, and diabetes.


There are seven signs that may indicate you have sleep apnea.

1. loud or chronic snoring

2. gasping, choking, or snorting after a breathing pause during sleep

3. daytime sleepiness

4. high blood pressure

5. nocturia (frequent nighttime urination)

6. morning headaches

7. excess weight
