Description of opportunity:
The Diploma Program is interdisciplinary and designed for those who have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline and are looking to expand their knowledge of gerontology. The Masters degree offers two concentrations: environment and aging; and health and aging. The latter provides knowledge applicable to the study of health status changes and use patterns over the life course including critical analysis of the healthcare system, and development and evaluation of specific health promotion strategies and programs. The PhD program is an interdisciplinary and designed to train students to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by an aging population. It provides advanced research training in gerontology grounded in an interdisciplinary theoretical foundation, current and prospective substantive issues, a range of research methods and statistical techniques, and knowledge to translate research into practice and policy.
