The Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport (JLAS) and the Sport and Recreation Law Association (SRLA) is happy to announce that Dr. Natasha T. Brison, J.D., Ph.D., has joined the journal as the Associate Editor. Dr. Brison is an Assistant Professor in the Sport Management Division of the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University.
“We are very happy to have Natasha in the Associate Editor role because she brings experience with both traditional legal research and quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She also has a great appreciation for how the journal can advance existing legal theory and her creativity in thought will help JLAS grow in new and exciting directions”, said JLAS Editor-in-Chief Thomas Baker, III, J.D., Ph.D.
In 2013 as a PhD. student, Dr. Brison received the Bernard Patrick Maloy Student Research Award from SRLA. The award is the highest recognition of accomplishment in student research this academic organization presents. Her research and scholarship interests are in the fields of sport marketing and the legal aspects of sport marketing, with an emphasis on brand management, athlete endorsements, and social media.
