Mission: To serve the YMCA of the USA by producing and distributing all educational resources used by administrators, instructors, and participants in programs at 2500 YMCAs nationwide.

Human Kinetics is very proud to be the official publisher of the YMCA of the USA, an organization that provides extraordinary services to people of all ages throughout our country. Since 1983, we have produced and distributed a variety of YMCA books, instructor guides, videos, software, patches, and certificates. There are about 500 individual items currently available to administrators, instructors, and participants through the YMCA Program Store, housed at Human Kinetics.

Our involvement with YMCA products mirrors our own publishing processes. With our extensive knowledge of physical activity, we usually participate in the initial product planning, especially for those resources in health and fitness, youth sports, and aquatics. We also assist the YMCA in developing resources on camping, character development, child care, community development, family programs, management, , , volunteer development, and youth and teen development. Human Kinetics coordinates the editorial and production work for the products, as well as the marketing and fulfillment of orders. Our efforts include producing the YMCA Program Store's annual catalog and distributing it to about 16,000 staff members.

Both Human Kinetics and the YMCA benefit from this ongoing relationship. It enables us to market our relevant products to YMCA staff, and in turn, we open up new sales channels for the YMCA by marketing its materials to our other customers. With a solid base established through years of working together, this is a win-win situation for both organizations.
