New research is showing new information on what is good and what is bad for the brain.


Memory and thinking may improve with weightlifting. Evidence has previously shown that aerobic activity can help with cognition and possibly delay dementia.


Stress, such as being in danger, can make you more sensitive to your environment but can also keep you from making decisions. This is a definite reason to work on controlling stress.

 

A treatment that is still at the experimental stage involves using stents to clear blockages in the brain’s arteries after traditional stroke treatments fail. The study of this treatment included only 10 participants.
