This symposium brings together 5 international scholars with unique interests on this topic. Dr. Wojtek Chodzko-Zajko (University of Illinois) begins the symposium with the promotion of psychological well-being and quality of life through community intervention in the United States. Next, Dr. Keita Kamijo discusses the effects of acute aerobic exercise on neurocognitive function in older adults. Dr. Nadja Schott discusses the role of physical activity on the quality of life of older adults. Dr. Andiara Schwingel speaks about the impact of both cultural and environmental factors on health and well-being during older adulthood. Finally, Dr. Charles Hillman presents the relationship between aging, chronic aerobic activity, neurocognitive function with a focus on cognitive health.
