Many researchers have focused their efforts on assessing health risk behaviors of older adults. However, it is not clear how to best influence this population to change, so research continues. What are the essential areas of health risk that need to be addressed when educating older adults? What are some research tools you currently use to assess this potential behavior change?

I tried Nordic Walking once... it was great exercise, but kind of felt silly with the poles. I felt like I should be in snow with skis instead. It was great exercise though. Not sure what the older adult population would think about this form of activity... better or worse for balance??

I'm curious to see how community-based research, focusing on these new guidelines and recommendations, is applied more broadly to the older adult population. Also, to see if we can find a simple, yet effective message to deliver what needs to be done using this research.
