What is the Active Aging Community Center (AACC)?
The Active Aging Community Center helps researchers and practitioners in the active aging field to further their work and facilitate the sharing and discussion of active aging issues. The ultimate goal is to help professionals advance their study of active aging and enhance the delivery of services to older adults.
The AACC focuses on information related to active aging, with an emphasis on physical activity and health. Other areas of coverage include nutrition, mental health, social engagement and spiritual well-being. All information meets at least one of two objectives: to help advance researchers’ work in the study of active aging or assist practitioners in the delivery of services to older adults.
How does the Active Aging Community Center work?
This is an online community in the truest sense of the term. This is a site for, about, and by researchers and practitioners in the active aging field. News and information comes from researchers and practitioners from around the world, and anyone in the field is invited to contribute information.
