The following are offered as Short Courses:
- Perspectives in gerontology
- Ageing, health and well-being
- Demographic change, ageing and globalisation
- Contemporary issues in ageing societies
Dates or duration of program:
Program runs for 12 weeks on Thursdays and Fridays.
These Short Courses provide key theoretical perspectives within Gerontology, as well as the ability to evaluate policies and initiatives concerning population ageing, welfare provision and quality of life of older people, their families and carers.
Who should participate?
These short courses are designed for mid-career professionals (e.g., as part of Continuing Professional Development), University entrants who are new to the social sciences, or mature age students who are returning to education. If all four courses are completed successfully participants will be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate of Gerontology.
