This subject is a Distance Education subject offered through the Wagga Campus in New South Wales, Australia. This multidisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Gerontology is housed in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts. It aims to extend one’s knowledge and skills related to the promotion of health, well-being and quality of life of older people. The course offers a broadly based, yet integrative approach to major theoretical and practical issues associated with choices and options in later life, as well as contemporary issues in gerontology and health care. Graduates from this course are awarded full credit of 32 points upon admission to the Master of Gerontology through CSU.
Any student who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in areas of applied health, community and social services, or welfare disciplines, who is wishing to further their qualifications should participate in this program.
