  1. Gerontology (Master) - 2 years full time
    • This multidisciplinary course combines theory, practice and research in gerontology with the aim of developing highly trained professionals who can respond to the challenges of an ageing population. In the first year of this course students will be undertake foundation subjects in ageing, research skills in gerontology, and understanding older people in policy and clinical contexts. The second year involves applying this knowledge to a range of fields and professions in gerontology, and a research thesis in a specialized area of the field.
  2. Gerontology (Graduate Certificate) - 1 year part time
    • The Graduate Certificate in Gerontology considers issues for the healthy and independent aged, as well as examines the clinical problems of ageing. It takes a multidisciplinary approach to understanding ageing, assessment and management of health promotion and health care.
  3. Gerontology (Postgraduate Diploma) - 1 year full time
    • The Postgraduate Diploma in Gerontology addresses the promotion of healthy ageing and independence, as well as services and policies related to frail aged care. Health and human services professionals who want to develop knowledge and skills in areas associated with older people will find this course valuable.

Who should participate?
The prerequisites for these degrees varies through levels, but in all cases an undergraduate degree in a related area is required to undertake a postgraduate degree in Gerontology.
